Caviar & Bier at Radhaus (thru Dec 31)
The Bavarian-inspired waterfront beer hall in San Francisco's Fort Mason, Radhaus, is shaking up your caviar dreams by pairing the briny nugs with beer. Yep, you heard me, BEER. (Or, in the German spelling, BIER.)
Playful,no? I think of it as a way for beer drinkers (which means everyone) to enjoy what is perceived as a luxury item.
For $98, a groaning board of caviar indulgence arrives with:
The Haus suggests beer pairing: Grevensteiner Kellerbier (mellow), Rothaus Pilsner (sharp), or Weltenburger Dunkel (sweet). Each third of a liter is $8 or try all three for $20.

Table Culture Provisions at Anomaly (Dec 9)
One of the things I enjoy about Chef Mike Lanham's cooking at San Francisco's Michelin-recommended Anomaly is his insane creativity while creating big flavors. In what is sure to be an epic meal, Lanham is synching up with Chef Stéphane St. Louis from Petaluma's Michelin-recommend Table Culture Provisions for a once-in-a-lifetime meal.
it all starts with Lanham's Emoji Egg, creating a stable constant within the tasting menu that includes three chef collabs out of a total of 11 courses. St. Louis, whose cooking skews French, will present a gougères with trout mousse and a squid ink madeline as part of an Around the Sea dish. Here's the complete line-up of dishes.

5th Annual Latke Throwdown at Bardessono (Dec 11)
Channukah arrives this year on December 14 but there's eight crazy nights to practice your best potato hash (a.k.a rösti). In Yountville at the Bardessono Hotel, executive chef Rick Edge has invited other top local chefs to compete in a friendly but fierce latke-making contest. After a mere 30 minutes of cooking and a taste-off, the ultimate latke winner will be crowned and awarded The Golden Spatula. (For the love of Pete, don't make it a black one!)
Your $20 ticket includes the show, the crowning of the winner, and tasting the contenders' creations in three categories: creativity, presentation and taste.
The event runs from 5 – 7 p.m.
All proceeds benefit Parents CAN, a Napa-based nonprofit supporting families of children with special needs.
Tickets can be purchased at the door but advance purchase strongly recommended.

Bloom Room at Stanly Ranch (Dec 12-13, 18-19 & 26)
Need more flowers in your holiday? Me, too! That's why I am excited that floral designer Edgar Martinez Ruacho is taking over the private dining room at Napa's Stanly Ranch, turning it into a seasonal super-bloom.
Gather for a six-course dinner and wine pairing where flowers take center stage, in garnishes, sauces, seasonings, and purées. In one dish, rose petals, preserved in vibrant red, are paired with Royal Osetra caviar, alongside hibiscus caramel deglazed into a sauce for California Wagyu with black garlic. It's a top to bottom floral extravaganza.
